Having blinded and lost his beloved, Arling goes to another country, where he meets a mystic who promises him to return his sight and meaning of life. Having passed through severe trials, Arling becomes his student, not realizing that the mystic passed on secret knowledge to him, thereby drawing the clans of the ancient order worshiping the snake god into the war.
