In a brief and accessible form, the main provisions of phenomenological (equilibrium and non-equilibrium) and statistical thermodynamics, their application to the calculations of chemical reactions and related physical processes are considered. Much attention is paid to problems that are not sufficiently covered in the literature: standardization and dimensions of thermodynamic quantities, essential details of the conclusions of fundamental equations and their application in imperfect systems.
