In the textbook, culture is considered as a complex, multidimensional phenomenon based on many foundations, among which the most important are functional-axiological, mythological and symbolic, the integrity of which is determined by a system of values. The author focuses on the study of these and other foundations of culture, summing up the understanding of the most important problems of culture by raising the question of its semantic perspective at the beginning of the III millennium.
