A concise essay on the development of philosophical theories offered to readers was developed by the author in the process of giving lecture courses on the history of Western European philosophy at Lomonosov Moscow State University (1933-1935), at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Moscow Institute of History, Philosophy and Literature (1932-1938) and at the Higher Party School (1939-1944).
