The monograph is devoted to the study of one of the important areas of Russian Slavic studies. In the polemic about the essence of the Hussite revolutionary movement, the methodological principles of representatives of a number of major movements of Russian social thought manifested themselves: Slavophiles and Westerners, providentialists and positivists, supporters of the concept of Slavic reciprocity, followers of Protestant and Catholic points of view on the history of medieval Europe. The book attempts to reveal the roots of the worldview and methodology of individual authors, explores the creative biographies of each of them, analyzes their statements on individual problems of the history of the Hussite era.
