The monograph contains the results of original theoretical and experimental studies of friction and complex variators performed by the authors, the problematic issues of variator design are considered, in particular, the necessity and possibility are proved on the basis of general models of dimensional, energy and dynamic calculations. Particular attention is paid to the development of theoretical foundations for the dimensional calculation of friction gears.
