The popular science monograph "Industrial Heritage and Painting" is devoted to the analysis of the main trends in the formation and study of the world industrial heritage of civilization. The reasons for the detailed depiction of metallurgical tools and enterprises in paintings by artists of the Renaissance are investigated. Conclusions were drawn about the advisability of using these images to reproduce the metallurgical technologies of the Middle Ages and the New Age by methods of practical archeology.
