In September 1775, a man whose name was a legend appeared in the childbirth of the Younger Kazakh zhuz. Steppe rumor called him Invisible, Holy, Sorcerer, but most of all Kuktemir, or Invisible. Considering himself the successor of Pugachev, he agitated for the continuation of the struggle. The Invisible movement found favorable ground in the Kazakh steppe, which is quite natural and had its own background. It was, as it were, a response to the Peasant War, in which Kazakh detachments also took part, as the author tells in a significant part of the book.
