The articles of a linguistic nature placed in the journal are devoted to the issues of phonetics, grammar, vocabulary of Turkic languages, their historical development, the history of literary languages ​ ​ and dialects, stylistics and translation theory, the latest methods of linguistics, problems of theory and methodology of Turkic linguistics. The journal also publishes articles on the problems of normalizing literary languages ​ ​ (improving alphabets and spelling, establishing spelling norms, developing principles of terminology, etc.).
