For the first time on the basis of recent achievements, the monograph sets out a variational approach to describing the spectrum of self-adjoint operator beams. Extreme problems with Rayleigh functionals are distinguished, a characteristic feature of which is non-convexity. For these problems, a peculiar theory of duality is built. The variation principles for eigenvalues of operator bundles are established and applied to specific tasks.
