The monograph is dedicated to one of the most influential concepts of cultural philosophy in Western philosophy of the 20th century. For the first time in Russian literature, it provides a detailed critical analysis of three volumes of E. Cassirer's Philosophy of Symbolic Forms. The analysis is preceded by a historical and philosophical study of the origins and premises of Cassirer's theory, from antiquity to the 20th century.
