The book "Stem Cells and Cardiomyogenesis in Normal and Pathology" summarizes current data on the morphofunctional properties of stem cells capable of differentiating into cardiomyocytes and endothelial cells involved in the development of the heart and its repair when damaged. Based on many years of research and data from the world literature, the fundamental mechanisms of embryonic and mesenchymal stem cell commitment and issues related to their role in cardiac tissue repair are considered.
