21-year-old Dan, a graduate of the space academy, future military pilot and civilian miner-engineer falls into a different world dimension due to an accident on a ship. He has to land a rescue capsule on the third planet, which is inhabited by feral colonists. The faithful on-board computer Yuri, named after the Soviet cosmonaut, helps him survive. Thanks to implants and psycho-techniques, Dan will not be left to fend for himself!
