"Diary of Thoughts" (1943-1957) by the master of the Russian avant-garde Alexei Remizov is a unique work of documentary and artistic prose of the Russian emigration. The second volume of the Diary contains records of 1946-1947. On its pages, through the prism of the writer's "trimmed eyes," pictures of the post-war life of the Russian emigration in France are presented: the restoration of cultural life in exile, a change in its political polarization, features of the repatriation process and interaction with Soviet diplomatic circles.
