Publication of the collection of scientific articles "Ice battle in the mirror of the era" continues a series of events dedicated to the 770th anniversary of the victory of the Russian army under the command of Prince Alexander Yaroslavich Nevsky over the Livonian Order on the ice of Lake Peipsi and held in April 2012 at the Faculty of History of Leningrad State Pedagogical University with the support of the Department of Education and Science of the Lipetsk Region. The collection contains articles by Russian and foreign specialists, which reproduce the wide historical context of the Russian-Livonian conflict of 1240-1242.
