An analysis of the socio-economic conditions and class structure of developing countries shows the factors that allowed the armed forces of these countries to actively enter the political arena. Specific reasons are considered that caused dissatisfaction of various strata of society with the regimes formed after the elimination of colonial rule in Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Burma, Pakistan, Algeria, Ghana, Nigeria and a number of other former colonies.
