On January 17, 1960, the T-36 self-propelled barge, carrying military personnel Askhat Ziganshin, Anatoly Kryuchkovsky, Philip Poplavsky and Ivan Fedorov, was carried away by a storm to the Pacific Ocean. For 49 days they drifted on a barge torn from anchor off the coast of the Kuril Islands. Memories of one of the participants in those events, on the pages of this book.
