The fundamentals of the theory and practice of engineering and geodetic works in industrial and civil construction are considered in the amount necessary to assimilate the value of geodetic support of geometric accuracy of construction. Information on modern measuring instruments used in geodesy (electronic tachometers, laser roulettes, satellite devices, scanners) is given.
