Movses Kalankatuatsi's "History of the Aluank Country" is one of the most valuable monuments of Armenian historiography, which covers mainly the period from the 5th to the 10th century. and contains rich information about the Eastern Territory of Armenia, about the political relations of Armenia with neighboring countries, about the Byzantine-Persian wars and about the Arab conquests.
