The book is a collection of articles on mechanics published in different years in the Kvant magazine in the section "Applicant's Workshop" in physics. Each article is, as it were, a lesson on solving problems of a certain type, united by some common idea. Different examples show how to approach solving problems of this type, how to avoid errors and traps, how to analyze the answer, etc...
