The technical means of robotics are considered: the history and prerequisites for the development of robots, classification of robots, kinematics of manipulators, designs of gripping devices, link drives, balanced manipulators, transport robots, types of sensors and control devices. Methods of human-machine, software, adaptive and intelligent control of robots are described.
