This publication continues a series of publications on atopic dermatitis, edited by Yu.V. Sergeev. New methods for the prevention of atopic dermatitis, approaches and means of long-term non-hormonal external therapy, and patient education programs are analyzed in detail. The concept of "controlled self-medication" put forward and tested by the authors is being considered for the first time. The issue is intended for dermatologists, allergists, pediatricians, therapists, as well as for doctors of other specialties.
