Theory of operation, properties and characteristics of low and medium power thyristors are described. Theoretical analysis is performed for univariate model. Static characteristics are calculated. The analysis of the shutdown state was carried out taking into account the processes of generation and recombination in p-n transitions. Processes occurring in the thyristor structure in the on state are described in detail.
