This book, The Short Textbook of Medical Microbiology (Including Parasitology), deals with medical microbiology. In India as also in other countries of the Third World, despite advances in the field of microbiology, there has been an acute dearth of well-written textbooks on the subject for the undergraduate medical students. This book attempts to fill that long-left gap.
