Levitsky S.A. belongs to prominent philosophers of the Russian diaspora, he was a student and follower of N.O. Lossky. In his book, which was first published in Russia, he comprehensively investigated the problem of freedom. The appendix publishes articles of different years, in which Levitsky showed himself to be a talented publicist and a subtle literary critic.
