The monograph is based on the original works of the author and his students on diffraction electronics. The results of theoretical studies of the effect of diffraction radiation and experimental methods for studying open resonators are presented. The issues of theory and creation of efficient generators of diffraction radiation of millimeter and submillimeter waves are considered.
