In recent years, the problem of financial capital in the former Russia has attracted wide attention of Marxist research thought of the USSR. The interest shown in this problem is natural, since it affects the main milestones of the stage of development of capitalism that led to October. The development of financial capital in Russia directly rests on the problem of the October Revolution. This explains the polemical enthusiasm that accompanies criticism of a particular point of view on the development of financial capital in Russia. Among the contested provisions are questions about the chronological framework of the dominance of financial capital in Russia and its "national" or "non-national" nature.
