Leonid Yuzefovich's new book tells about a little-known episode of the Civil War in Russia - the heroic campaign of the Siberian volunteer squad from Vladivostok to Yakutia in 1922-1923. The book is based on archival sources that the author has been collecting for many years, but is written in the form of a documentary novel. The main characters of this exciting story are two extraordinary historical figures: the white general, the truth-seeker and the poet Anatoly Pepelyaev and the red commander, anarchist, future writer Ivan Strod. In the center of the book is their tragic confrontation among the Yakut snows, the story of life, love and death.
