Odyssey 1990 focuses on the problem of interaction between the individual and society in history. Articles are also published about courtly love, the image of a coven and witches in Europe, a medieval merchant. In the section of publications - unreleased letters of Mark Blok and Lucien February. New in this collection compared to the previous one is, in particular, in the publication of materials of discussion on the topic "Individuality and personality in history." It is in the course of such discussions and disputes that the "white spots" of historical knowledge and the shortcomings of the conceptual apparatus are most clearly revealed. Another difference between the second collection and the first is that a plan has begun to cooperate the efforts of domestic humanities with foreign colleagues. So far, this cooperation has been expressed in the publication on the pages of a collection of articles by three prominent scientists: the French medievalist Georges Duby, the Italian historian Carlo Ginzburg and the English sociologist and historian Ernest Gellner.
