The book contains diary entries and correspondence of V.V. Bianchi with relatives, friends, acquaintances from June 22, 1941 to May 21, 1942. Caught by the war, this first year the Bianchi family lived in the village of Mikheevo. In letters and diaries published for the first time, thoughts and moods, life and deprivation of wartime in the perception of different people were reliably reflected. The value of V. Bianchi's diary entries is determined not only by the author's talent, showing the real face of the war and the horrors of the blockade, but also by the fact that they have passed military censorship.
