The main types of measuring instruments for measuring various physical quantities are presented. The greatest attention is paid to electrical measuring instruments, converters of non-electrical quantities into electrical signals. The issues of construction of the State system of industrial instruments and automation means and metrological support of measurement accuracy are considered.
