The second edition of the manual is intended for programmers starting and continuing to learn Java SE technologies. The book discusses the basics of the Java language and the concepts of object-oriented and functional programming. It also describes aspects of using Java class libraries, including files, collections, Stream APIs, network and multithreaded applications, as well as interaction with DBMS and XML. At the end of each chapter, theoretical questions on the studied chapter, test questions on the material of the chapter and tasks for execution are given. Appendices contain additional materials with a brief description of Log4J2 and TestNG technologies.
