The publication is dedicated to one of the Russian Far Eastern seas - the Bering Sea, which is part of the Pacific Ocean. The encyclopedia contains more than 700 articles on hydrographic and geographical objects, as well as hydrological features of the sea. The most significant natural objects are presented - islands, peninsulas, bays, rivers, their geographical features, economy, culture and history, as well as cities, ports, water, biological resources, international agreements, research institutions, the activities of outstanding scientists, researchers, travelers. Particular attention is paid to the problem of relations with the United States of America. A chronology of the main events is given, which became significant milestones in the history of discoveries and development of the Bering Sea from the 16th century to the present day.
