The second edition (first - P.F. Lomako "Non-ferrous metallurgy during the Great Patriotic War" was published in 1985) highlights the most important stages in the development of the strategic industry - non-ferrous metallurgy and the contribution of its workers to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It convincingly and intelligibly tells about people who, in incredibly difficult conditions, showed miracles of heroism: in an unprecedentedly short time, they relocated most of the enterprises to the East of the country, significantly increasing the volume and mastering the production of the most important types of products that are extremely necessary for the front, for Victory. Workers of non-ferrous metallurgy performed their duty, uninterruptedly providing the needs of the front and the defense industry with all the necessary materials to withstand win the fight against the enemy.
