Essays are devoted to the history and culture of the ancient and medieval population ¬ Central Asia and Buryatia. Based on a comprehensive study of the sources, the processes of formation and ethnic history of the Mongols, Buryats and Yakuts, the relationship between the West Asian and East Asian principles in the composition of cultures of the Central Asian type are shown.
