The basic principles of atomic and quantum physics are presented. The main attention is paid to the experimental foundations of the physics of atoms and molecules, as well as methods for determining world constants in the field of atomic physics. The non-dogmatically written textbook contains four chapters: discreteness of matter, discreteness of electric charge, discreteness of electromagnetic radiation and discreteness of dynamic variables of classical physics.
