T.F. Novak is one of the creators and leaders of the Rivne underground. His memoirs reveal in many hitherto unknown details the glorious history of this military organization of Soviet patriots, which actively operated in the city and its environs during the years of Nazi occupation. The main thing in the book is the affairs and fate of the underground: communists, Komsomol members and non-party patriots. As if the living stand in front of the reader Ivan Luts, Nikolai Kisses, Fedor Shkurko, Vitaly Poplavsky, Anastasia Kudesha, Maria Zharskaya, Fedor Kravchuk, Prokop Kulbenko and other heroes, whose life and death itself were a sacred feat in the name of the Motherland.
