This book was written as a manual for initial courses in electronics. Its content is carefully coordinated with the main education programs in the UK, but the topics involved and the depth of their consideration were chosen so that the resulting material was available to most students around the world. The only knowledge required is the basics of mathematics and high school level physics. The following topics are considered in the book: basics of electrical engineering and electronics, electronic devices, analog circuits, microprocessor systems and their application, production process control systems, microcontrollers and telecommunications basics, as well as modeling of electronic circuits on a personal computer.
