One can hardly name any other concept in psychology that would cause such a disagreement of opinions and assessments as psychoanalysis. The present book provides an in-depth Marxist analysis of the basic ideas and concepts of Freud and his followers. Particular attention is paid to showing the failure of attempts to "supplement" Marxism with psychoanalysis and thereby create the so-called "Freudian-Marxism."
