The history of the institute is inextricably linked with the development of domestic mining and chemical business. Founded in the thirties of the last century as the Salt Laboratory of the USSR Academy of Sciences, it has become the largest research and design organization for the extractive industries. Today, the All-Russian Research Institute of Galurgy has powerful innovative potential and developed infrastructure for a full range of exploration, production and processing of minerals. The Institute firmly occupies a leading position in the salt and potash industries. A strong teaching staff trains highly qualified scientific personnel for the Russian economy.
