The collection includes full transcripts of speeches by participants in the expanded meeting of the Military Council at the NPO of the USSR, which was held in Moscow from November 21 to 27, 1937. It discussed the results of the combat training of the Red Army for 1937 and tasks for 1938, as well as measures taken to "cleaning" the ranks of the Red Army from all kinds of "conspirators," "traitors," and "spies" allegedly acting in its ranks, as well as other organizational issues. The materials of the meeting of the Military Council under the NPO of the USSR are published for the first time. The results of the meeting were reflected in a number of orders of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR.
