A new book about Mikhailovsky Castle is published in the Marble Series, the tradition of which consists in the reprint of previously known historical works about St. Petersburg and its monuments. However, there is no voluminous and complete essay about the last residence of Emperor Paul I, written by historians of the past, as a result of which the idea was born to give a second life not to one, but to many works of the 19th - 20th centuries related to the most romantic monument of our city.
