The basics of the theory of linear and non-linear automatic control systems (principles of construction, mathematical description, stability, transient processes, correction of dynamic properties, etc.) are presented in relation to the tasks of automation of power equipment of thermal power plants and nuclear power plants. Modern systems of regulation, protection and oil supply of condensing, heating and wet-steam turbines, design of their units, peculiarities of operation of power units in powerful power systems are considered.
