The problem of the specifics of social sciences and humanities in the vein of the philosophy of science (science of the philosophy of science) is investigated. The specifics of the social sciences and humanities are revealed in comparison with the natural sciences as a model of science in general. The relationship between philosophy and science is considered, the subject of philosophy of science is determined.
