A huge number of books, studies, articles, etc. have been written about 1941, the beginning and the first stage of the Great Patriotic War, however, most of these publications are devoted to the course of hostilities on the Soviet-German front, and little attention is paid to the battles that took place in Karelia and on the Karelian Isthmus, where the Finnish army was located.
