Daniil Lukich Mordovtsev (1830-1905) in the middle of the XIX - beginning of the XX centuries was one of the most popular historical writers. A distinctive feature of his work is the reconstruction of the "grassroots" history of the people and the advocacy for the brotherhood of the Slavic peoples. The first volume includes three historical stories: "For whose sins," "Sagaidachny" and "Mr. Veliky Novgorod."
