Theoretical and experimental analysis of the structure of self-consciousness, its forms and functions. The original concept of the level structure of self-awareness is presented. The role of actions and internal contradictions in the development and functioning of self-awareness is revealed. The structure of the emotional-value attitude towards oneself, the dialogical nature of self-awareness are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the role of self-awareness of the individual in the process of psychotherapy and psychological counseling.
