"Thunderbolt" became a battleship among the fighters. He absorbed the spirit of two great nations, whose representatives stand at the cradle of this "baby." The Russians and Americans joined forces, resulting in an outstanding combat aircraft. Even in the West, Russia is called the homeland of engineers, while in the USA it is probably easier for an engineer to find his calling than in any other country in the world. Therefore, it is not surprising that so many Russians have written golden pages in the history of American technology: Grigorishvili, Kartvelishvili (for sure - both from near Ryazan!), Kolchakov, Marchev, Seversky, Sikorsky, Strukov - the list is far from complete.
