The monograph is an anthropologically oriented regional study on the problems of the daily life of a provincial city during the imperial period of Russian history. On live and fascinating material, the authors reconstruct the social and everyday infrastructure of the Ural city and the material culture of the townspeople, characterize their family life, confessional aspects of everyday life, family and public leisure, forms of sociocultural interaction, recreate the picture of everyday life and holidays.
