The collection contains materials from the All-Russian Intercollegiate Scientific Conference "Kurbatov Readings-XL," which brought together the work of leading and novice medievalists. According to the long-standing tradition, the conference, held under the auspices of St. Petersburg State University, was devoted to various aspects of the history of Europe in the Middle Ages and early modern times: issues of source study, historiography, art history, problems of auxiliary historical disciplines, political, social, economic and cultural history.
